Airovation Technologies is a new Israeli startup that offers air purification and carbon capture solutions, with a new innovative way to make glass while also clearing the atmosphere of greenhouse gas emissions. The company uses the carbon emitted by the use of energies and “recycles” it to make glass.
So, imagine that we could recapture all of those greenhouse emissions and use them to make things. Imagine if we could combat the climate crisis by cleaning the atmosphere of all of that excess CO2? But then what would we do with all of that CO2? Well, Airovation Technologies can make many products out of it, from glass to fertilizer. Heck, maybe even coal can be made out of it and then burned again for energy.

Founded in 2017 by Gil Tomer and Marat Maayan, Airovation Technologies boasts a one of a kind CARBON CAPTURE technology the company says is efficiently dealing with high concentrations of carbon dioxide, and at the same time, allowing a circular economy. The carbon dioxide is transformed into valuable industrial minerals. The breakthrough allows an economically viable answer to one of the greatest challenges that humanity is facing.
In addition to developing air purification productions and solutions, Airovation utilizes its Superoxide Radical technology to pursue breakthroughs in the carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) industry — specifically by using its patented chemical invention to transform carbon dioxide emissions into valuable minerals and products that can be used in the food, feed, glass and fertilizer industries.
Airovation Technologies says the key technological breakthrough is the in-situ generation of superoxide radical, the strongest oxidizer in nature. Airovation develops solutions for indoor air treatment as well as industrial carbon capture.
In September, Airovation Technologies and ASUSTek Computer Inc., a Taiwan-based computer hardware and consumer electronics’ applications firm, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the company to explore utilizing Airovation’s air purification technology in the development, manufacturing and sale of products and solutions in Taiwan and Greater China.
Airovation Technologies has raised $19 million in investments to date.
