PubPlus, an Israeli advertising technology company, is being acquired by the Canadian firm ClearPier, an advertising technology company, for $60 million. PubPlus, which employs 60 people, almost hit $100 million in revenue in 2021.
So, not every exit from Israel Startup Nation is worth billions.
Founded in 2016 by Gil Bar-Tur, PubPlus is a revenue attribution solution that helps publishers maximize content distribution spend, ad revenue, and user engagement. PubPlus aggregates publisher’s data into one “easy-to-manage” platform where ad revenue, it says, is attributed to the marketing spend, leveraging valuable insights in order to maximize growth and profit.

PubPlus says that its mission is to empower publishers by providing them with insights most publications generally overlook. These insights allow them to make better business decisions and resume control of their full potential audience.
One service the company offers is called PubPlus Lab, which it describes as a center of excellence and R&D for “profitable publishing in the post-social era.” The Lab helps internal operations and partners diversify and extend beyond the social networks for success in paid content distribution.
Established in Toronto, Canada in 2012, ClearPier calls itself a Premium Performance Marketplace with the mission to bring efficiency, transparency, and quality back into the ad-trading ecosystem. The company offers ClearBuy, what it describes as its in house performance and data activation solution. It offers real-time reporting capabilities that the company boasts enable users to view any metric or dive deeper for more insights and to make campaign updates as you go and easily track their results.
