Vine to Bar Turns Grapes into Chocolate

Vine to Bar

Vine to Bar (from website)

Vine to Bar is yet another new company that offers alternative food products. In this case, the firm uses all natural products to make chocolate from grapes.

You heard that right! Think about all of the waste in the world that comes from uneaten foods, or the overproduction in agriculture which sees so much farmed produce just rot away uneaten. Vine to Bar is one of the companies doing something about preventing this waste, and the waste of energy and resources when producing so much unconsumed food products. And then there are all of the gasses released when the food rots which contribute to the problem of climate change.

Vine to Bar has the tagline, “what better way to describe, bringing all the goodness from the vine to the bar, to make chocolate that is extra good. A perfect pairing by the coastal winemakers who love chocolate.”

Chocolate and wine have always made a great duo, says the company. Now, boats Vine to Bar, the soul of the grape is “expertly blended into the finest rich, dark chocolate for a new sensory experience that could only be imagined by the minds of winemakers paired with chocolatiers.”

And Vine to Bar chocolate contains no alcohol.

Scott Forsberg, president of Vine to Bar, told the NY Post, ““Both of these ancient foods revered for millennia share a commonality: They are high in antioxidants and optimize blood flow, which is good for your brain and cognition.”

Vine to Bar’s chocolatier, Ralph Jerome, the former head of global innovation at Mars Inc. added, “The Chardonnay marc makes the chocolate taste better. It decreases bitterness and adds a fruity note. It’s a qualitative improvement.”

Chardonnay Marc is one of Vine to Bar’s top products. Gently pressed Chardonnay grapes are harvested right after juicing, dried and milled, then carefully blended into the finest dark chocolate. WellVine Chardonnay Marc contains beneficial nutrients, flavanols and has a natural sweetness that tempers the bitterness of the flavanols in dark chocolate.
