Paul Rudd has been named the Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine. The 52 year old Jewish actor has come a long way since he got his start playing the nice guy anti-tough guy hero in Movies like “Clueless.” Well, actually, that is still Paul Rudd.

Not someone like Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, or even that kid from the new Dune movie?

Rudd has always been the kind of actor who most people look and think to themselves, “oh, he’s that guy from that movie.” This continued even after getting to play the superhero Ant-man. So, where do you remember Paul Rudd from?

Perhaps, it is from when he played the recurring character, loveable nice guy Mike Hannigan on “Friends.” Remember how in that show’s last season he married Phoebe?

Or maybe you remember him for playing the loveable nice guy Josh opposite Alicia Silverstone in the hit 1995 movie “Clueless.”

Paul Rudd has also been the dependable buddy/sidekick guy in movies like “Knocked Up” and “I Love You, Man.”

Then there were his comedic roles, like when he played a dim wit in the Ron Burgundy movies.

That was why Marvel chose him to be Ant-Man. Rudd was perfect for playing an average Joe who sorts of accidentally found himself having super powers and needing to help save the world all of the time.

“I do have an awareness, enough to know that when people hear that I’d be picked for this, they would say, ‘What?’” Paul Rudd told PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “This is not false humility. There are so many people that should get this before me.”

“When I think about myself, I think of myself as a husband and a father, like I’m that,” he said. “I just hang out with my family when I’m not working. That’s what I kind of like the most.”

As for what he will do now, Paul Rudd said “I figure I’ll be on a lot more yachts. I’m excited to expand my yachting life. And I’ll probably try to get better at brooding in really soft light. I like to ponder. I think this is going to help me become more inward and mysterious. And I’m looking forward to that.”
