This is a particularly bright apartment with a library, a staff room, and an attractive gallery separating the public and private areas. The stately formal dining room features unobstructed views to the east over landmarked buildings and can easily accommodate 20 guests.”

The house is currently occupied by UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan and his family, according to Itamar Eichner of Yedioth Ahronoth. However, Erdan was denied entry to the flat last year by the building’s administration because it had been registered in ex-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s name since 1986.

The Ambassador’s family entered their home only after Netanyahu’s signature, indicating his agreement to the name change. The state is expected to rent an apartment to Erdan in another location following the sale of the house.

The house was sold due to the high expense of maintenance. Recent years have seen a number of clashes with the building’s management, which has asked that the state carry out an extensive and costly refurbishment.
