Lior Raz in Netflix Hit and Run
Israeli actor Lior Raz is in a new series from Netflix called “Hit and Run.” Raz is most famous for playing Israeli undercover anti-terrorist agent Doron Kavillio on the international hit Israeli TV show Fauda. The new show has just released its first trailer. The show comes out in August.
Israeli TV seems to be conquering the world. It started with remakes. America’s shows “In Treatment” and “Homeland” were both remakes of Israeli television programs. Then the original Israeli shows themselves took international viewers by storm. In addition to Fauda, the suspense drama about Israel’s counter-terrorist agents, shows like “Shtissel”, about a Hasidic family in Jerusalem, and :Srugim,” which is about young and single modern orthodox people living in Jerusalem, found popularity on streaming services like Netflix.

Hit and Run is written,created and executive produced by Fauda’s Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz. In it Raz plays Segev Azulay, a man whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit and run accident. The Affair’s Sanaa Lathan plays the female lead.

Lior Raz, 49, stands to become the next breakout Israeli star after Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman. Raz has the stage presence of an action hero so be sure to look for him in the near future starring in action movies. Or, at the very least, he will probably pop up as a bad guy in a movie or two.
The show also features Israeli actor Igal Naor, who can play both dramatic and comedic roles. He has also frequently plays the bad guy in Hollywood movies and even played Sadam Hussein in an HBO mini-series.

In the trailer you can see how the new thriller tells the story of a couple whose lives are changed by an accident. Hit and Run will focus on how Segev (Lior Raz) deals with his wife’s death. He learns things that he never knew about her, including the secret life which she led.
The description of the trailer says, “Hit & Run is a thrilling mystery centred around one man’s unconditional love for his murdered wife, and his dark journey to uncover the truth behind her death no matter the cost.”
