The Israeli version of hit American and British television reality show The X Factor will enter its fourth season with a very special edition – Simon Cowell. The show’s creator will travel to Israel to serve as a judge on the program called “The X Factor Israel” which airs on Israel’s Reshet Channel 13.

The Israeli X Factor will make a return after a delay of more than two years caused by the Coronavirus crisis.

“Over the years we have discovered incredible talents from around the world through the ‘X Factor’ format,” said Simon Cowell. “I can barely wait to see what the Israelis have to offer.”

Israel’s Reshet 13 issued a statement saying that “this is the first time Simon Cowell is coming to judge in a country outside of the U.S. and Great Britain. This is a huge achievement for Israel.”

The British entertainment mogul might have chosen to come to Israel because his father was Jewish. Simon Cowell made his mark in the music industry by being the brains behind hit acts like The Spice Girls. Then he got into the field of reality competition television shows in Britain with programs like Britain’s Got Talent.

Simon Cowell then took his programs to the U.S. where he made his mark with American Idol. Then there was America’s Got Talent and the American The X Factor. He is worth an estimated $600 million and even if he spent it all Simon Cowell could live off the millions in royalties he gets every year from all of the worldwide versions of his programs.
