The Israeli star featured prominently in 2017, along with Melania Trump and Harry’s fiancée; The men on the list involve in scandals of sexual harassment and politics

Gal Gadot‘s successful year was also reflected in the ranking of the 10 most popular people in 2017 Google searches. Wonder Woman was ranked sixth on the global list, which includes most of the people who made headlines this year – though not all in positive contexts. In the US search list, Gadot reached 10th place.

The name most people searched for this year was Matt Lauer, the dismissed anchor of NBC’s morning show, who was accused of sexual misconduct. He was joined by a number of well-known names who were indicted this year for sexual harassment, including the infamous Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein (3rd) who opened the dam, actor Kevin Spacey (fifth) and Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly (sixth place).

The list also includes three other women besides the banks: Prince Harry’s fiancée, American actress Megan Merkel in second place; First Lady Melanie Trump in seventh place, and comedian Cathy Griffin, who suffered a lot of fire this year after publishing a picture of her with the president’s severed head.

Another close confidant of the Trump administration that sparked interest and searches on Google is Michael Flynn, the former public security adviser who became one of the main witnesses in the investigation of Russian intervention in the presidential election. In ninth place was Milo Janopoulos, former editor of the right-wing news site Brightbart.
