Debbie Reynolds Mourned By Her ‘Kids’ Debra Messing and Albert Brooks

Debbie Reynolds TV and film children Albert Brooks and Debra Messing have paid their respects to the late movie star on social media. Reynolds died on Wednesday at the age of 84, just one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher died at 60.

In the 1996 movie “Mother, ” Debbie Reynolds played Albert Brooks’ mother Beatrice Henderson. In that film, written and directed by Brooks, Albert played a neuritic middle aged man who believes that all of his personal problems result from his past relationship with his mother. To rectify this, he decides to move in with her to work on his maternal issues. “Mother” earned Debbie Reynolds a Golden Globe award for best actress in a comedy or musical.

Albert Brooks took to Twitter to mourn his “movie mom.”

The day before this tweet he also tweeted his respects over the death of Carrie Fisher:

Debbie Reynolds also played Debra Messing’s TV mother on the hit 90s sitcom “Will & Grace.” She played Bobbi Adler in ten episodes over the show’s eight year run.

Debra Messing tweeted, “So heartsick. Debbie went to be with Carrie. It’s such a devastating 1, 2 punch. She was my “mom” for years & I loved her dearly.A legend.”
