The Pershing Square Capital founder is worth an estimated $1.6 billion. The divorce ends a horrible 2016 for Ackman as his firms plummeted in value in part due to his failed short position in Herbalife.
The New York Post revealed part of an e mail that Ackman and Herskovitz sent to friends which read, “It saddens us to share that after 25 years together, we are separating. It is an amicable split, and we are making sure that we minimize the impact on our girls. We value your friendship and greatly appreciate your support.”
