Donald Trump will probably not move the American Embassy in Israel from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem. This is what most Israelis believe according to the results of a poll conducted by The Jerusalem Post.

Many Israeli supporters celebrated Trump’s victory because they believe that he will be a much stronger supporter of Israel than President Barack Obama. Some think that Trump promised to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem, but no such pledge was ever made.

Ivanka Trump, however, reportedly did make such a promise. She is a convert to Judaism. And certain people close to Trump have said that such a move would be one of the first moves made by the new Trump Administration.

According to the poll’s results, only 6% of Israelis believe that Donald Trump will definitely move the embassy and 32% believe that it is likely. This is against 38% who say that it is unlikely and 11% who say that it definitely will not happen.

One thing is certain, however. President Trump will have a better relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu than President Obama had. Relations between Obama and Netanyahu have been strained to say the least. But Trump and Netanyahu appear to be friends.
