She spoke about her mother’s recent battle with cancer and how hard it was for her to even talk about it for the tape version of her book saying, “I still cannot read the letter I wrote about my mom’s cancer and my dad’s accident. We’re about to go in and do the book on tape, and I’m trying to find somebody who could make it at least slightly toned down, because I can’t read it out myself.”

“My mom was in the hospital having chemo and trying to fight her battle with cancer, while my dad was in a coma in the U.K. And I watched both of them come out of surgery and flatline and die in front of me and get brought back to life.”

Osbourne was so worried about how her family would react to this chapter of the book that she added at its start: “Warning: If you are a member of my family, please don’t read this chapter.”

The book also includes an open letter titled “Dear Racists.” In it Kelly Osbourne responds to the criticism which she received when she attempted to attack Donald Trump for his position on immigration. On an August 2015 episode of “The View” Osbourne said, “If you kick every Latino out of this country, who’s going to clean your toilets, Donald Trump?” This was misconstrued as a derogatory comment about Latinos in America.

The daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne — whose mother was Jewish — said that she was cut off before she could finish her point. But Kelly Osbourne regrets the comment telling Entertainment Weekly, “I still hate myself for it, because if it was me, watching someone else say it on television, I’d hate them.”

“I know my true intentions behind it, but like I say in my book, the mistake I made was to fall back on witty sarcasm, and you can’t do that when you’re talking about race, especially in this country, ” she added.

Kelly Osbourne explained that it took her three years to write the book. She explained that she felt very vulnerable while writing it, reviewing her painful memories.

“There Is No F—ing Secret: Letters from a Badass B—-.” is due out in the Spring of 2017.

Kelly Osbourne can currently be seen, or at least heard, on the cartoon television series “The 7D” about Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
