Gal Gadot can be seen in a new trailer for the movie “Wonder Woman.” The Israeli actress hopes that it will make her the world’s first Israeli box office star.

But we just hope that it won’t be as bad as the two new Superman movies were.

The actress first took on the role earlier this year in the dud “Batman vs Superman.” But Wonder Woman was badly underused in that movie which was just a setup for the new Justice League films. DC should have learned from Marvel: Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America and Thor all had their own movies before “Avengers” came out.

Wonder Woman says in the narrative, “I used to want to save the world. This beautiful place. But the closer you get, the more you see the great darkness within. I learned this the hard way, a long, long time ago.”

And we get plenty of glimpses into Gal Gadot looking hot in costume.

Gal Gadot told Entertainment Weekly, “I feel that I’ve got the opportunity to set a great role model for girls to look up to a strong, active, compassionate, loving, positive woman and I think it’s so important. It’s about time that somebody will do that and I’m very privileged and honored to be the one.”

So is the 31 year old Israeli on her way to stardom? Well her recent comedy attempt “Keeping Up with the Joneses” bombed. And in the near future she will only be playing Wonder Woman with two DC movies in 2017 including “Justice League” and then its sequel in 2019.

For now Gal Gadot’s entire career is pinned to the success or failure of the new DC movies.
