Indoor vertical farming turns industrial spaces into functional farms without soil and sunlight and hopes to help source food locally. Seeds at the farms are grown in recycled water bottles. AeroFarm’s vertical farm in Newark, New Jersey was an old steel mill and later a paintball and laser tag park.
