6over6, a vision care app that enables users to perform their own eye vision test, came out on top of this year’s mHealth Israel mobile health startup contest. Beating six other Israeli startups, 6over6 received an all-expenses paid business development trip to Texas for the Medical World Americas Conference, where they will meet with C-level executives from Texas Medical Center and other health systems.

The 6over6 solution called GlassesOn, provides a simple and intuitive smartphone app for a complete and accurate measurement of the refractive error of the eye, for eyeglasses or contact lenses prescriptions.
The company says one of its goals is to revolutionize eye care access in the developing world.
During his presentation to a panel of c-level judges from top global healthcare organizations including Philips, Novartis, AstraZeneca, and AARP, Limon said that two-thirds of the world is visually impaired and showed how his company’s GlassesOn app will enable easy access to vision care with the “optometry at hand” solution.
“mHealth Israel provides the digital health ecosystem with a platform to exchange ideas, while engaging with some of the most prominent health focused companies in the world, ” said Levi Shapiro, the lead organizer for mHealth Israel. “Israel is continuing to create world class digital health startups far beyond its size, and the global health community is taking note.”
