Gossip Extra has learned Gemini, the 16-acre estate of the billionaire family of deceased publisher William B. Ziff Jr., was listed for sale publicly for the first time last night.
With publisher Hugh Hefner‘s Playboy mansion near Los Angeles listed for $200 million, tiny Manalapan is now home to the country’s second most expensive single-family house.
There’s also a PGA-standard golf area, a sports complex, a bird sanctuary and a butterfly garden.
The property includes five houses, including a 12-bedroom Mediterranean-style main residence designed during World War II architect Marion Sims Wyeth, a seven-bedroom guesthouse, two seaside cottages and a property manager’s house. Total: 85, 000 square feet of living space!
The property is now controlled by brothers Dirk Ziff, Robert Ziff and Daniel Ziff. The family bought the property in 1985 for $5 million, records show.
