Jon Steinberg, the recently-departed DailyMail.com chief executive for North America, is joining the board of directors at Bustle and will receive an equity stake in the website aimed at millennial women.
Mr. Steinberg, a high-profile digital media executive with deep ties in the advertising world, said he won’t delve into day-to-day operations, but plans to be involved in charting Bustle’s direction going forward.

“On a traditional board, the job is primarily oversight and not necessarily to come up with ideas or solutions. But Bryan specifically wants that, and that is what I plan to contribute, ” he said, referring to Bustle founder and CEO Bryan Goldberg.
