NYCFC President Tom Glick will continue in his role until March and will remain in New York through Spring 2016, working with Patricof in the early months of transition.  Glick will, later in the year, assume a role overseeing commercial activities across the whole City Football Group.

Patricof, a native New Yorker, helped to develop Tribeca Enterprises over the last 11 years into a globally recognized media company, growing the Festival into a major New York and global institution.  He has spearheaded numerous landmark partnerships including an investment by Madison Square Garden into Tribeca in 2014 and the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, a very successful multi-year partnership with ESPN. Previously, he was an executive in the Strategic Planning Department at The Walt Disney Company.

He will report to Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group and Managing Director of NYCFC, who oversaw the recruitment process in consultation with Vice Chairman Marty Edelman and the wider NYCFC board.

Speaking about the appointment, Vice Chairman of New York City FC Marty Edelman said “We are extremely pleased that Jon has agreed to join the Club. He has a fantastic feel for the New York community and rich experience across business and entertainment. Over a relatively short time, he has done an exceptional job with Tribeca and we believe he is the right person to lead the Club into the next phase of our history.”

Echoing these thoughts, Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group and Managing Director of New York City FC said:

“Patricof has the experience, the passion and the vision to build on the excellent work that Tom Glick has been implementing. He joins a club already rooted in the five boroughs of New York and with solid foundations across the board. I am looking forward to working with him.”

Tom Glick, President of NYCFC said,  “I know what a bright future NYCFC will have under Jon leadership, alongside our superb Sporting Director, Claudio Reyna and our new Head Coach, Patrick Vieira.”

Jon Patricof said,  “I cannot wait to get started at NYCFC. There are tremendous opportunities for growth and I am looking forward to working with Patrick, Claudio and the front office team to deliver a great experience for our fans, partners and for New Yorkers.”
