Anthony Weiner, Former New York Rep. has exited a high-profile job at a the powerful public relations firm MWW, according to news reports. Weiner who left Congress in shame in 2011 over a sexting scandal, left the firm to start his own company, the Post reports.
Weiner left the firm over the publicity generated less than two months after it began, MWW chief Michael Kempner said in a memo obtained by The New York Post.

“Over the past few months, it has become clear that a handful of people and a few media outlets continue to be fixated on Anthony, attempting to cause harm to him and by extension to our agency, ” Kempner said in the memo.
“The continuous noise from these parties has caused both Anthony and the MWW team to have to deal with many inflammatory, insulting and false stories.”
“So, effective as of today, Anthony has resigned as a member of our advisory board and as a consultant to MWW, ” he said.
His joining the firm prompted the resignation earlier this month of one of the firm’s top executives, Arthur Schwartz, according to the Post.
