Motorola has invited press to an event on July 28th at 9AM ET, at which time that we will likely see it unveil the new version of the Moto X.

Some other phones or phone customizations may well be on the docket too. We’ve received a bit of a preview of what Motorola is coming up with due to a series of recent leaks, as well as on yesterday, showed the backplates of what seem to be future Droids, similarly because the Moto X and Moto G.

The Moto 360 is also due for a refresh, thus it’s possible that we’ll see that similarly. Motorola offers a bit of a hint with its “XGX” signature, that looks like it’s pointed toward the Moto X and Moto G.
