Actress Diana Douglas, the first wife of actor Kirk Douglas, and the mother of Oscar winning actor and producer Michael Douglas, died of cancer on Saturday at home in Woodland Hills, CA. She was 92.
Diana Douglas appeared in 22 films. Her last feature film was the Fred Schepisi-directed “It Runs in the Family, ” which also starred Kirk, Michael, Joel and grandson Cameron Douglas. Her other movies included Planes, Trains And Automobiles, Star Chamber starring with Michael Douglas, Cold Heaven and several others stretching back to her first film Keeper Of The Flame in which she played the “Forward American Girl.”.
