NBC has renewed David Duchovny’s new dark drama “Aquarius” for a second season. This is good news for anyone who has already binge watched season one of the show, ending on a cliffhanger.
Regular airing dates have yet to be scheduled, but NBC put the entire first season online all at once after the show first premiered. Aquarius online viewership clearly played a part in its renewal. The regular broadcasts of the program have only received a 1.2 rating with adults aged 18-49 (the most important demographic) and 5.8 million viewers overall so far.

But it should be remembered that the show is basically a summer replacement series, so it is not expected to have the same levels of viewers as a regular season one.
