LeanChair 1

A new product soon to be available called the LeanChair offers people who use it a better way to sit in front of a desk. It lets people lean back at about a 30 degree angle while they work.

The device is so popular that it has already raised almost three times what its makers had been looking for in a Kickstarter campaign. While hoping for $25, 000, it has already brought in $66, 629 from 207 backers with 19 days left on the campaign.

The brainchild of Wayne Yeager, software developer, LeanChair declares, “Get the benefits of standing, while you relax in total comfort. Lean Chair lets you to focus on your WORK… not on your aching legs!”

Yeager explains that medical professionals have shown that both sitting all day long and standing are bad for your back and/or feet. He says that his own posture problems led him to develop the product. LeanChair uses a reclining angle that takes about 25% of your body weight off your legs, which makes standing a lot easier and less painful, he boasts.

The back is adjustable for different heights.

LeanChair has been under development for the past two years, with several prototypes currently in use.

In the event a modification is required during the Design For Manufacturing process, Yeager promises that he will undertake modifications that improve the overall product, and will “never compromise on safety, stability, quality, or overall effectiveness.”
