Lloyd Blankfein Sued Over Construction Accident at His Hamptons Estate

The Goldman Sachs CEO is upgrading his $32.5 million home.

Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein is facing a civil suit over his Hamptons estate. A contractor who was injured while working on additions to his mansion located at 699 Ocean Road in Bridgehampton is demanding compensation, according to the New York Daily News.

Cesar Correa claims that he was injured from falling off a scaffolding there. He maintains that he suffered tears to tissues in his knee rendering him “sick, sore, lame and disabled.” Since then, Correa states that he has had surgery and has been unable to work.

Correa says that the accident resulted from a failure to ensure that the proper safety precautions were taken during construction.

Blankfein bought the estate in 2012 for $32.5 million. It has seven bedrooms, a pool and a tennis court and has hosted a fundraiser for President Barack Obama attended by Vice President Joe Biden.
