Carl Icahn’s Son Brett Wants $20, 000 Rent for 9 1/2 Weeks Kinky Film Pad

Brett Icahn couldn’t find a buyer even for 2005 prices

Brett Icahn

Brett Icahn was trying to sell the West 46th street Manhattan apartment that was the setting for the steamy 1980s classic with Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke, 9 1/2 weeks. Failing that, he is now asking for a $20, 00 in rent for the place, as reported by NyCurbed.com.

The two bedroom, two bathroom airy penthouse with glass ceilings and a fancy terrace was on the market for $3.5 million in 2005 before it was turned into Brett Icahn’s bachelor pad. The son of the famous hedge fund manager Carl wanted to sell it for $4.3 million, and when no buyers came forward, he had to lower his offer to $3.7 million, not much more than what he shelled out a decade earlier. Still no one bit, and now he wants to charge $20, o00 rent per month.
