The NBCUniversal cable-news outlet MSNBC has decided to shift Ronan Farrow and Joy Reid are from being anchors of their own shows to being special correspondent who contribute to various news shows.
Thomas Roberts, who’s been hosting an early-morning MSNBC show, will now anchor the network from 1 tp 3 PM.

This marks a shift in the network’s programming policy, from issues-oriented to breaking-news.
Variety has suggested that in this MSNBC is following Jeff Zucker’s programming shift at CNN, away from discussion, to race riots, disappearing planes, multi-car crashes, sinking cruise ships, and runaway zoo animals.
CNN has bested MSNBC in the ratings since introducing the changes in focus, several months ago, as its “New Day” morning show has been winning more 25-54 year olds than MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
Farrow will continue to work with the NBC News investigative unit, and interview newsmakers and celebrities for the network’s primetime lineup. He will also report from remote locations for some shows.
So if the weather gets nasty anywhere in America — Ronan Farrow will be there with his raincoat and umbrella to be pelted with it.
Satchel Ronan O’Sullivan Farrow is the son of actress Mia Farrow and the legal son of Woody Allen, although the latter has long been disputing that Ronan was his issue, saying he looks much more like Mia Farrow’s former husband Frank Sinatra.
