Jon Stewart just announced he is stepping down as the host of the The Daily Show after 16 years. Satirical news shows have become hugely popular in the United States. Pew Research released a trust ranking of news organisations in the United States and the Daily Show is considered more trustworthy by the public than both Bloomberg and the Economist when it comes to political coverage.
