Facebook has 890 million daily users.

This is somewhat ironic considering the fact that most people in China cannot even use Facebook. This is either because they are among the two thirds of Chinese who do not live in the major urban areas and so do not have Internet access, or because of the Chinese government’s policies which limit access o social media by its citizens to prevent it from being used for political dissent.

The company also brought in $3.85 billion in revenue for the last three months of 2014. That represents more than a 50% increase over the same period of one year earlier. Its number of users worldwide increased by more than 3% in the quarter. The company’s stock is trading at $76.24, up nearly 22 percent over the last 12 months.
