Dave Franco to Co-Star With Emma Roberts

Dave Franco will co-star with Emma Roberts in the film adaptation of Nerve, the young adult novel by Jeanne Ryan. The movie will be produced by Lionsgate Entertainment.

It’s hard being the younger brother in a family, especially when your older brother is more famous and successful than you are. This is the case with the 29 year old Dave Franco, whose older brother James’ movies have been much more successful. James has also become a bona fide leading man and not just a supporting actor as Dave has been and James was even once nominated for an Oscar.

Nerve tells the story of a high school senior (Roberts) who finds herself immersed in an online game of truth of dare, where her every move starts to become manipulated by an anonymous community of “watchers.”

The movie will be directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman and does not yet have an expected premiere date.

The 23 year old Roberts is best known for her performance on the television series American Horror Story. She can soon be seen on the upcoming show Scream Queens.

Franco has appeared in more than 30 movies and television shows including Scrubs and the two movies based on 21 Jump Street. He can next be see in “Unfinished Business” with Vince Vaughn, a comedy about three businessmen who go on a zany adventure when traveling to Europe on business. He will also reprise his role as Jack Wilder in the sequel to “Now You See Me” to be called “Now You See Me: the Second Act, ” which is due out next year.
