Amanda Bynes Gets Off Easy Yet Again with DUI Charge

NYLON Magazine's IT Girl Prom - Amanda Bynes talks secrets

It seems disturbed former child star Amanda Bynes is not receiving sympathy only from fans, but also from the L.A. city attorney. Bynes was charged with DUI after running a red light and stopping at an intersection while intoxicated. This was shortly after she got her license back after having been on probation for a 2012 incident in which she crashed into a police car in West Hollywood, but this charge was also dropped.

In the most recent violation, the attorney’s office stated that “after much deliberation and review” she may get a slap on the wrist for a probation violation, but perhaps nothing worse than that. Previously, authorities thought inpatient treatment was sufficient for Bynes paying her debt to society. It is hard to say whether inpatient care was helping the troubled star, who has tweeting extravagant claims about alleged sexual abuse at the hands of her father, has been found in shopping malls and is going from one friend’s house to another as her parents have put a lockdown on her bank account. However, amid the turmoil, she has managed to complete a year at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandizing Orange County Campus and was seeing walking around the University of Southern California’s campus saying she wants to do a degree in, of all things, psychology.
