Chuck Lorre keeping Mum on Two and a Half Men Finale

Cuck Lorre

Chuck Lorre is still keeping his plans for the big finale of his hit show “Two and a Half Men” a secret and will not say if Charlie Sheen will make a return after a four year absence.

The brains behind hit sitcoms such as “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mike and Molly” was born Charles Michael Levine on Long Island. Lorre changed his family name because his mother never liked his father’s family and turned the very name Levine into an insult.

Lorre’s top shows have been produced by Warner Brothers Television which held a panel with critics and journalists at the Television Critics Association winter press tour where the producer answered all sorts of questions. It was called “An Evening With Chuck Lorre Productions.”

The biggest question by far that fans of the 12 year old show want answered is whether or not bad boy Charlie Sheen will return for the finale. After the anti-Semitic laced insults that Sheen hurled at Lorre when the actor had his very public breakdown a few years ago it would not be surprising if the producer never wanted to work with Sheen again.

But Lorre played coy, neither confirming nor denying anything about the show’s finale which is due to air in February 19th. He said, “I think we’re going to have a finale that you’ll be very, very pleased with. And that’s all I’m going to say about it.”

But about Sheen Lorre chose to be diplomatic and said, “It would be inappropriate here to not acknowledge the extraordinary success we had with Charlie and how grateful I am, and we all are, to his contribution. There’s nothing but good feelings for the eight and a half years we worked together. But how to wrap the show up, it’s tricky. It’s a tricky – it’s a sticky wicket. Because, in a way, the show morphed into something else entirely for the last four years, and it’s something we love, and we want to honor both. So, how to honor both has been the challenge of this finale. The other challenge is how to get people watching it without telling them what it is.”
