Orbit Signs $3.6 Million Deal With Asian Security Firm

Israel’s Orbit Communications Systems, which develops satellite communications, tracking systems and communication management systems and audio for aircraft, has been awarded a contract for the supply of a satellite communication solution for airborne systems from an East Asian security organization. The contract is worth 14 Million NIS ($3.6 million).

The Company believes that this only represents a first order and that there is the potential for a long-term continuation of this business relationship.

The security organization which chose the comprehensive resolution of Orbit, is a long time customer of its tracking and telemetry system. Orbit recently reported that this customer chose to purchase its Marine Tracking System, an unmanned system installed on ships at seas to defend against missile attacks and other threats.
