“The foundation is dedicated to providing equal opportunity for young children in Tulsa and these organizations provide the critical services that Tulsans need, ” said Ken Levit, executive director of GKFF. “We are proud and excited to invest in and support early childhood education, community health and social service organizations as they help Tulsans build a better life in 2015.”
Levit said the foundation collaborated with local partners to identify pressing social service needs in Tulsa and surrounding areas, pairing those needs with respected nonprofit grant recipients for the most impact in the community, the report said.
The largest grants included ones to Family & Children’s Services ($460, 000), Domestic Violence Intervention Services ($333, 333), Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa ($290, 000), Mental Health Association Oklahoma ($275, 000), Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma ($225, 000), and Eastern Oklahoma Donated Dental Services ($186, 000), the website said.
The foundation donates more than $40 million a year, mostly for early childhood education, Forbes said.
