Legendary directors Rob Reiner and Mel Brooks have been booked to appear on Billy Crystal’s new cable series “The Comedians.”
Other guest stars on the show will include Jimmy Kimmel and Steven Webber.

The new show, which will have 13 episodes, sees Crystal play an aging comic who is forced to team up with a newcomer played by Josh Gad on a comedy sketch show.
Its writers and executive producers include Larry Charles (“Curb Your Enthusiasm, ” “Seinfeld”), Matt Nix (“Burn Notice”) and Ben Wexler (“Community, ” “Arrested Development”) in addition to Crystal himself.
The Comedians will premiere on the same day as the fifth season of Louie, Thursday April 9th. The show will air at 10 PM followed by Louie at 10:30.
