Amanda Peet has a new show on the same network as Hubby David Benioff’s hit “Game of Thrones”. But the actress told The Huffington Post that she does not think very highly of a TV shows with dragons in it.
“Game of Thrones” became an instant hit when it first premiered on HBO in March of 2011. The verdict is still out, though, on Peet’s new HBO program “Togetherness” which premiered last week.

The daughter of a Jewish mother, who grew up in New York City and has more than 60 television and movie credits under her belt, told her husband that having Dragons on GOT was not a good idea.
As she said in an interview with HuffPost Live’s Ricky Camilleri, “In the beginning, when [Benioff] was telling me about the show, you know, I hadn’t read the George Martin books, and I was like, ‘What do you mean? What do you mean when you say there’s a dragon on the show? Surely we’re not gonna see a dragon because that’s asinine.’ And he was like, ‘No, yeah, there’s a dragon.” And I was like, ‘Well, surely you’re not gonna show it? It’s gonna be like ‘Jaws, ‘ where Steven Spielberg famously kept hiding [the shark].” … [And David said], ‘Yeah, yeah, no, we’re gonna do that.’ And then no, you see the dragon.”
Amanda Peet is also a big fan of Diane Keaton, especially her body.
The 42 year old actress who recently gave birth and does nude scenes in her new show is apparently impressed with the body of 69 year old actress telling the Huffington Post, “If I were Diane Keaton, I’d take my clothes off all the time!”
Togetherness is a comedy about two couples who live under the same roof which premiered this month. It has already made headlines for its nude scenes and gotten critical acclaim. It also stars Mark Duplass, Melanie Lynskey and Steve Zissis.
Amanda Peet’s next feature film is due out this summer in which she will co-star with fellow Jewish actresses Alison Brie and Natasha Lyonne as well as Saturday Night Live alum Jason Sudeikis. Called “Sleeping with Other People” it is about a serial womanizer (Sudeikis) who has a real plutonic relationship with a woman while he tries to change.
