Mickey Arison said, “I am honored and excited to again serve as the FCCA Executive Committee Charman. My past tenure showed the significance of the Committee uniting Member Line Presidents, CEOs and/or chairmen to discuss operations within the Caribbean and Latin America, and I look forward to continuing this role, which has become even more crucial as cruise lines continue to expand their capabilities and markets.”

Arison has worked in the cruise line business for most of his life, since his father, Ted, founded Carnival Cruise line after he fought in Israel’s War of Independence. Micky Arison has received the “Officer of the French Legion of Honor” from Jacques Chirac and the Order of the Lion from Finland. Micky Arison was born in Tel Aviv and is owner of the Miami Heat. His sister, Shari, owns Bank HaPoalim and is rated by Forbes as the richest woman in the Middle East.
