NBC will broadcast America’s biggest sporting event this year and so it chose yesterday’s New England/Baltimore game to make the announcement. Perry told the network’s Willie Geist, My first special guest is going to be an incredible rock ‘n’ roll icon, a guitar god.”

The Super Bowl will be played in Arizona this year at University of Phoenix Stadium on Feb. 1.
