Allan Dershowitz has himself been sued by the lawyers representing Virginia Roberts after they named the famed civil liberties lawyer in a lawsuit brought by their client against billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. Dershowitz had been threatening to sue them for defamation or to at least bring ethics charges against them but it seems that they headed him off at the pass as it were.
Lawyers suing lawyers. Some people would describe this as poetic justice.

Paul Cassell and Bradley Edwards have sued Dershowitz for defamation. This is because Dershowitz has been accusing them of unethical behavior.
Papers in the lawsuit against Epstein stated, “Epstein required Jane Doe #3 to have sexual relations with Dershowitz on numerous occasions while she was a minor, not only in Florida but also on private planes, in New York, in New Mexico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, ” and “Dershowitz was an eye-witness to the sexual abuse of many other minors by Epstein and several of Epstein’s co-conspirators.”
Dershowitz denied ever having sex with the women and fired off a series of very angry statements including, “How does a lawyer rely on the statement of a woman who is a serial perjurer, serial liar, serial prostitute, and bring charges against somebody with an unscathed reputation like me without even checking?”
He says that he was not even in the places where the alleged sexual acts took place at the times in question and that his wife and other family members accompanied the former law professor when he did fly on Epstein’s private plane.
Dershowitz’s main complaint is centered on the fact that, since he is only named in the papers filed as part of the lawsuit and not had any direct accusations against him, the attorney has no way to defend himself against what he feels is slander.
As he told the BBC, “My goal is to bring charges against the client and require her to speak in court. If she believes she has been hurt by me and Prince Andrew, she should be suing us for damages. I welcome that lawsuit. I welcome any opportunity that would put her under oath and require her to state under oath these false allegations.”
“You cannot allow these false allegations simply to remain out there, and you cannot allow people who make false allegations to have the freedom to continue to make them.”
