First Peek At ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E’

'The Man From U.N.C.L.E'

It is isn’t exactly a sneak preview, but the first image from the film that has been a long time in the making and is scheduled for release in August, “The Man From U.N.C.L.E” is available. Actors Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer are dressed in 1960s period costumes as the two spies. The film is an adaption of the 1960s television show, and the project has been hanging in showbiz limbo for more than two decades. David Dobkin, Steven Soderbergh were both directors who took initial interest, but abandoned the project, as reported by ScreenRant.

Now critically acclaimed Sherlock Holmes director, Guy Ritchie is directing the project and is making some changes in the original script. Tom Cruise was originally selected to play that CIA agent, Napoleon Solo, but Batman v. Superman star Henry Cavill will be playing the role with Armie Hammer as the KGB Agent Illya Kuryakin.
