Woman on Probation For Stalking Cubs President Theo Epstein

Theo Epstein

A woman with an English degree from Harvard could be this nuts? Imagine! Kathleen Kearney, 47 was put on 24 months probation for stalking Chicago Cubs President Theo Epstein, as reported by the Chicago Tribune. Kearney pleaded not guilty but mentally ill, and agreed to go through psychotherapy during her probation, during which she will be monitored. She was ordered by a judge not to have any contact with Epstein.

The incident occurred 2 years ago when she flew to Chicago, rented a Ford Mustang, and parked it in front of Epstein’s home. Kearney approached Epstein’s wife Marie and said, “I’m Kathy. You must be Marie.” Thinking she was a neighbor, Ms. Epstein invited her through the front gate, but things got weird when Kearney lavished gifts on their toddler. When Kearney started acting even weirder, Marie called Cubs security and the police, only to find that her rental car was parked a couple of blocks from the Epstein’s home.
