Businessman Motti Zisser owes over $250 million to the banks and other creditors, and his receiver is busy selling his home in Petah Tikva, Israel, in order to repay a small part of his enormous debt. Meanwhile, however, members of his immediate family are doing business in the tens of millions of shekels around the world.

Sources inform “Globes” that David Zisser, one of Zisser’s sons, recently initiated and began to carry out an huge deal in Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands. In the framework of the deal, David Zisser has joined forces with the Radisson hotel chain for the construction of a hotel, office, entertainment, and restaurant complex in Amsterdam. The luxury hotel will be managed by Rezidor under the Inn Park brand under a contract with a guaranteed income, and will be designed by Dutch design brand Moooi. Opening of the hotel is scheduled for 2016. It is expected to be the largest conference hotel in Amsterdam, with 478 rooms, a conference center with over 4, 000 sq.m., a special spa, and a large entertainment center.

The building itself, which covers 42, 000 sq.m., was formerly the largest empty office building in Amsterdam, and was purchased by the investors at an attractive price. It will be demolished, and the up-to-date hotel complex will be constructed it its place. Sources also inform “Globes” that the project already has valid building permits, and that work on it is expected to start in the coming weeks or months. Investment in the project will total €50 million.

David Zisser’s lawyer Ram Jeanne, from the Amar, Reiter, Jeanne, Shochatovich and Co. law firm, confirmed the deal in Amsterdam to “Globes.” Jeanne made a point of saying, “The project was initiated and led by David Zisser, alone and by himself. The project does not have, and has never had, any connection to Motti Zisser, and any attempt to link David Zisser’s business to Motti Zissesr has no connection with reality.”
