Sarah Jessica Parker, Mathew Broderick, Cut Vilage Home Asking Price by $2 Million

The movie star power couple Sarah Jessica Parker and Mathew Broderick has been forced to cut the price on their Greenwich Village house yet again, this time by $2 million according to a report in the New York Daily News. The two now hope to get $20 million for it after having asked as much as $35 million in 2012.

Broderick and Parker bought the house in 2011 for $19 million. Reportedly, the two never actually lived in it; even though, they had the house renovated.

Built in 1846 and located at 20 East 10th street in Manhattan, the five floor plus basement red bricked home has a total of 6, 800 square feet of space, seven fireplaces, five bedrooms and a landscaped garden. Its master bedroom suite, which takes up a full floor, has a 25′ x 12′ private terrace and his and her walk in closets and its bathroom has a hand carved stone tub that sits in the middle of it. The house is 25 feet wide.

The Parlor Floor has a gray Barr flagstone entry, 12 foot ceilings, twin fireplaces, dentil molding, original mantle, and a Juliet balcony (from which one can access the beautifully landscaped Garden). There are floor-to-ceiling double-paned mahogany windows in the formal dining room, which is connected to the living room by a molded framed entry.

The Guest Floor features three bedrooms, The Master Floor is has a terrace, an imported stone fireplace, a hand-carved stone ovular tub, antique tiles, separate sinks, shower room, water closet, and windowed walk-in. The master bath also has its own fireplace.

The top floor is one long open area with a sky roof. It currently has a ping pong table and plenty of book cases. All of the floors are hardwood.
