For you kids out there Kirk Douglas, who turns 98 next week, is the father of multiple Oscar winning actor Michael Douglas and the father-in-law of the Oscar winning actress Katherine Zeta Jones.

At least they were kind to him in the mistaken obituary writing, “Kirk Douglas, one of the few genuine box-office names to emerge just as TV was overtaking American culture in the years right after World War II.”
So the not late – or should we say on time – Kirk Douglas is definitely still alive. At least that is what his people have said as he himself has not been available for comment.
