Israel’s Altair Semiconductor, a leading developer of high-performance, single-mode LTE chipsets, announced that ASUS, one of the world’s top-three consumer notebook vendors, has selected Altair’s LTE chipset for a new Chromebook.
While Wi-Fi is a standard feature, 4G LTE has only recently been introduced to Chromebooks. Altair’s FourGee-3100/6202 LTE chipset, certified to run over Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network, provides ASUS Chromebook users with a 100Mbps broadband internet connection.

That’s why LTE solutions are ideal for Chromebooks. An LTE-enabled Chromebook provides users with a seamless experience, better mobility, and faster response time, all critical for effective and enjoyable cloud computing.”
The Wi-Fi- and LTE-enabled 13.3″ ASUS Chromebook is available at major retailers across the U.S.
