Mobli Launches ‘Remarkably Intuitive’ Mirage 2.0 Instant Messaging App

MIRAGE 2.0

Mobli Media, an Israeli mobile social networks, photo and video-sharing platform, has announced the launch of its MIRAGE 2.0, an updated version of its ephemeral instant messaging app.

Ephemeral means it lasts for a very short time. This is especially significant today as so many people have seen their personal pictures and messages hacked and then revealed to the world. Also, many times people post things and share items with others that they regret having disseminated in the first place.

Mobli’s temporary tech provides a solution to these problems.

The company declares MIRAGE to be a “remarkably intuitive and fun new instant-messaging app that lets users send unrecorded photo, video, text, and voice messages to all their contacts that last for only a few seconds.” With a laser focus on speed and simplicity, MIRAGE lets users send photos and videos to anyone, even if they don’t have the app installed, which they can annotate with text or voice messages in a tap.

The app was launched by Mobli in July 2014. The stand-alone app is an instant messaging platform that enables users to send and receive messages that disappear after a few seconds. The app’s interface is based on a one-tap principle. As soon as the users open the app, all of their contacts are immediately available. Even if some contacts do not have the app installed, they can receive the message from a link via SMS.

The company boasts that the new version provides two key ways to share a MIRAGE message with several contacts at once: Groups and Broadcast.

Groups lets users create a group and start a disappearing conversation with a few of their contacts in one group. With Broadcast users can share a MIRAGE message with several contacts at once, without organizing a shared group. These new features, Mobli asserts, make it easier to send messages to several people at once, while emulating real-life communication with key ephemeral one-tap messaging.

“The new groups and broadcast features bring a wider experience to MIRAGE users, ” said Mobli CEO Moshe Hogeg. “We extended the form of communication, which lets classmates, family, colleagues or any group members share a one-time experience together. MIRAGE now captures in an even more precise way the essence of human interaction.”

The new version features multiple additional enhancements which include, contact list editing in which you simply drag and drop your contacts to rearrange your home screen. There is also a new Inbox where users simply need to tap and hold their inbox to see the MIRAGEs that have received and view them in any order that they want. Finally a news Search Bar is located on the app’s home screen.

MIRAGE Also now supports 22 languages.
