Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment, whose aim is to make the entertainment industry more accessible to new artists, is revamping its website, and is making new hires. The website includes the Instagram reality video series, Sign of the Times. It is signing up innovative artists, including Jacquie Lee, Eric Bellinger and Mike Stud. According to Evenbright, Lyor Cohen said, “We wanted to be a platform not just for artists, but for entrepreneurs that want to take advantage of our personnel and our distribution to retain ownership and have the opportunity to develop their artists in a more bespoke way.”
The company is expanding in the British market. An executive for 300 said, “If you cut open a British person, what comes out is music. If you cut open a French person, what comes out is movies.”
