George Soros’ Son Raising Funds to Unseat Kansas Republican Senator Pat Roberts

Jonathan Soros

The son of billionaire investor George Soros, Jonathan Soros, will host a fundraiser for Greg Orman, who hopes to unseat Republican incumbent Pat Roberts in the Kansas senatorial campaign, according to NewsMax. So far, Jonathan Soros has donated $3.7 million to Democratic candidates, and while Orman has said he will not commit himself to the Democratic Party, he may align himself with the Democrats, if elected.

The departure of Democrat Chad Taylor from the campaign has left a void for Orman, who told Roll Call, “If one or the other party is the majority, I will to caucus with the party that is in the majority. If I get elected and neither party is the majority, then what I’m going to do is sit down with both sides, propose a pro-problem solving agenda. And we’re going to be more likely to support the agenda, and the part that is more likely to embrace a pro-problem solving agenda.”
