Jennifer Cramblett, a white lesbian from Uniontown, Ohio is suing Midwest Sperm Bank, saying it gave her sperm from an African-American donor, the Chicago Tribune reports. It made tings tough at home, apparently, as the plaintiff and her wife aren’t sure how to raise their now 2-year-old daughter in their all-white community.

Cramblett says she and her wife had ordered the sperm of a white donor. In fact, they specifically asked for the product of donor No. 380, who is white, but their doctor received product from donor No. 330, an African-American.

Cramblett is suing Midwest Sperm Bank for wrongful birth and breach of warranty, citing her damages as being both emotional and economic.

Whatever happened to “So long as it has ten toes and ten fingers”?

An attorney for Midwest Sperm Bank said the company would not comment on pending litigation.

The lawsuit alleges that raising a mixed-race daughter has been stressful for Cramblett and her wife in their all-white community. Turns out that Cramblett was raised around people with stereotypical attitudes about nonwhites, according to the lawsuit, and she met her first African-Americans in college.

One of the areas of difficulty in raising a black child has to do with giving her haircuts, says the suit. Apparently, Cramblett must to travel to a salon in a black neighborhood, “where she is obviously different in appearance, and not overtly welcome.”

Imagine, having to travel to a black neighborhood several times a year.

Cramblett also fears that her “all white and unconsciously insensitive family, ” after having had to deal with her lesbian thing, now have to deal with her black daughetr, according to the lawsuit.

Ah, the humanity…

A month after Cramblett had learned about the sperm glitch, according to the lawsuit, the sperm bank sent her a letter of apology and a refund check.

They also offered a lifetime of validated parking…
