While his shoulders might not be as broad as those of Hercules, one hopes that the director Brett Ratner’s heart is, as singer Mariah Carey, as reported by the Daily Mail, is seeking the comfort of her buddy pal and director of some of her videos following her breakup with Nick Cannon.

Ratner directed Carey’s videos “Heartbreaker” and “We Belong Together, ” and who knows, maybe Carey and Ratner belong together, since he has dated celebrity women who run the gamut, from models to athletes, like Serena Williams.

Meanwhile, Nick Cannon has returned to Twitter after a self-imposed break with amicable sentiments towards his ex, and less than generous feelings towards the media. He tweets, “During this challenging time for me and my family it infuriates me that the media can be such evil bottom feeders. What infuriates me most is to hear people slander Mariah Carey. I will be forever indebted to her for blessing me with our children.”
