Tishman Construction’s $147 million Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Florida is due to open in the summer of 2015 on the legendary Hollywood Beach Boardwalk in Greater Fort Lauderdale.
The project was originally inspired by the music of Jimmy Buffett. But Margaritaville has expanded into a super brand encompassing clothing lines, alcohol, restaurants and resorts. With cafes and hotels in locations including New Orleans, Orlando, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Panama City Beach, Glendale, Mohegan Sun Casino, Nashville, Honolulu and Pensacola Beach.
Totaling 845, 000 square feet, the 349-room 17-story resort will sit on 5 acres of land at Johnson Street and A1A in Hollywood, Fl. It will feature many bars and restaurants, including a bars and restaurants include Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, the LandShark Bar & Grill, License to Chill Rooftop Bar, Lone Palm Bar and the 5 o’clock Somewhere Bar. There will also be an upscale dining restaurant named JWB’s.
The resort will also have a 15, 000 square foot St. Somewhere Spa with 11 treatment rooms that will offer hot stone treatments, aromatherapy, deep tissue massages, Swedish massages, Shiatsu massages, on-site facials, waxing, hair styling, manicures and pedicures. It will also offer guests a beachfront fitness center, tiki bars, water recreation and activity areas and an entertainment complex.
In addition, 11 meeting and event spaces will be available for conventions and businesses holding getaways there, including the 10, 224 square foot Compass Rose Ballroom.

Tishman is developing the resort in partnership with Coastal Construction and the developer Lon Tabatchnick.
